    Meet the new version – LMS Collaborator v.2.47.0!

    1. New “Gift Shop” functionality

    We are pleased to announce the launch of the long-awaited Gift Shop functionality. A tool that will help to further reward and motivate employees to learn.

    How does it work?

    Now, in addition to points, employees will receive separate bonuses for completing tasks – an internal learning currency. You can set the number of bonuses for each task yourself. And of course, fill your store with gifts. There are no restrictions, it can be either corporate merchandise or certificates for additional learning.

    In addition, you can set a separate price for each gift, as well as the available quantity, thus shaping their value and exclusivity.

    In turn, employees will be able to exchange the bonuses they receive for gifts they value in the store.

    2. Integration with Slack

    We are constantly improving our functionality and adding useful integrations to the list. In this version, we added integration with the corporate messenger Slack.

    You can choose the messenger your team is most comfortable with: Viber, Telegram, Teams bot, or Slack, and enable integration with the learning portal to receive notifications.

    Your employees will receive important reminders and will always be up to date on assigning new tasks, updating Knowledge Base resources, creating new topics in the Forum, and more.

    You can view sent messages, as well as information about users’ connections to the Slack bot, in a separate message log.

    3. Creating course copies

    If you need to create multiple similar training courses and adapt them to different groups or curricula, you can quickly do so with the duplication feature.

    courses

    After creating a copy, you will get an unpublished course with the same content of resources and filled in parameters:

    – the title with the addition of the word “Copy”;
    – description;
    – briefly about the course;
    – attached files;
    – tags;
    – images;
    – employment assessment and duration of training;
    – assessment mode.

    You can use the same resource in different courses at the same time. After it is changed, it will be automatically updated in all courses and copies of it where it is used. This makes the work of administrators easier and optimizes resource management.

    *You don’t have to worry about creating copies of the resources, as the course content will not be duplicated.

    4. Meetups

    4.1. Simultaneous assessment of a group of users

    LMS Collaborator’s “Meetups” help to record the participation and results of in-person training – seminars, trainings, conferences, etc. By combining them with other online activities on the portal, you can easily implement blended learning.

    Sometimes meetups may involve several groups of employees or departments. In cases where there are many participants, it is not very convenient to evaluate each one individually. You can speed things up with a group action. Just select the employees and enter the desired result:

    give a grade

    4.2. Update of the “Checking meetups” page

    In addition to creating new useful functionality for employee training, our team is constantly improving the system’s interface and enhancing its usability.

    In this version, we’ve updated the page for checking meetups.
    For easier sorting, we’ve added separate tabs for checked and unchecked tasks. If you need to find classes that have been held or are scheduled, you can use the built-in filter.

    5. Notification when a task that is a part of a learning path is unassigned

    There are cases when an administrator has assigned a task to a user by mistake and needs to remove it. If the user is following a learning path that includes this task, it can be reassigned after unassignment, according to the settings of the path.

    The system displays an additional message so that the administrator does not have any misunderstandings about why the user is automatically assigned to the task again:

    user assigning

    6. Setting up a table with a list of users

    In this version, we have added the ability to customize the composition of the table with the list of users. You can customize the display of information individually for yourself by selecting the necessary fields and fixing the first name field. Thus, you can customize the convenience of displaying on different devices.

    users

    We have added additional fields to the list of standard customization fields that you can choose to display in your user profile.

    7. Simultaneous extension of the task completion period for a group of users

    In LMS Collaborator, you can create activities with a limited runtime. This can be an adaptation program, a course, or a security test, etc. To avoid creating new activities for employees who have not completed the training, you can individually extend the deadline for each of them. If you need to change the deadline for several users or an entire group, you can do it with a group action:

    extend deadline

    8. Setting up permission to open other pages of the portal during testing

    To ensure fairness and objectivity of the assessment during the test, LMS Collaborator checks whether the user works with the portal in only one tab, i.e. with one connection. And if another portal tab is opened simultaneously with the test, even if it is a different browser or device, the system will issue a warning:

    testing

    If the user opens a new connection to the portal during the test, for example, to look at the correct answers in the training materials, the test is automatically terminated. And the user receives a “failed” grade.

    Now, for tests, you can optionally set up permission to use the portal in other tabs. For example, for certification tests, you can disable access, and for training tests as part of courses, you can leave the option to “peek” and thus organize additional training and encourage independent work.

    set up test

    9. Updates to notifications for curators

    The Collaborator LMS provides for the appointment of curators for certain types of learning tasks. For example, for webinars, workshops, and meetups. Curators act as mentors for employees, monitor task completion, provide support, and help resolve issues.

    To notify the user that he or she has been selected as a curator, the system sends a message with a link to the assignment and its report. In cases where a user is a curator of several assignments that are part of the same program or course, they received separate emails for each assignment. To avoid unnecessary spam, the system will now send one email with a list of all tasks in which they are a curator:

    message

    In addition, we have added a new notification template for curators of tasks in the personal development plan (PDP). To notify the user that he or she has been selected as a supervisor, the system will send an email:

    message
