    Personnel training – the case of the «Omega» company

    “Omega” is the largest distributor of automobile components in Ukraine. They provide logistic, technical, informational and advertising support to all their clients. The main task of the company is creation of an effective complex service system for business support.
    Olga Grishko, training and personnel development specialist, told us about the peculiarities of distance learning organization in “Omega” company.

    blankWe are a team of people who are dedicated to their work. And we don’t just work well, we put a part of ourselves into our work. We have been on the market for almost 30 years, and we have a lot of experience under our belt. But we don’t stand still, we continue to develop logistics and services, we sign contracts with new suppliers, and we conduct marketing activities. We know what is important and what our partners need to succeed, and we do everything to make our work together productive.

    In 2019, the Collaborator distance learning system appeared in our company. The decision was due to the need to reach the entire target audience in the preservation and transfer of knowledge (we have 19 branches in Ukraine). Our goal was:

    • Automate and accelerate staff training, business process training, change implementation;
    • Scale up personnel training without increasing training costs. To receive working channels of information and informational influence in the mode of access 24/7 for employees.
    • Develop the knowledge base of the company.
    • Ability to integrate the CDS with other systems of the company.

    All changes in the composition, positions and subdivision affiliation of employees are automatically displayed in the Collaborator LMS.

    Welcome trainings, adaptation programs, standard corporate training, product training for the sales department, and business process training are the main tasks we have taken online. On the portal we place e-courses, form programs and conduct personnel testing. Also, we use a news feed and alerts.

    Training on the portal begins on the first day of work: greeting, adaptation program, and testing. Each employee receives a list of training tasks, which must be completed. Tasks can be limited in time or left indefinitely, which is very convenient for assignment. LMS Collaborator captures all user activities on the portal. Reports and infographics help to analyze the activity in more detail.

    Employee certification takes the form of a control test followed by a practical task.

    To involve employees in training, we assign badges for successful completion of tasks. Such awards allow us to create a competitive atmosphere – employees track their rating in the system and compete with each other for superiority.

    Training helps employees do their jobs well and efficiently. And after its successful completion move on to more complex and interesting tasks.

    Our opinion on the system: Qualitative, easy and fast! The Collaborator customer service is at the highest level – prompt and professional advice on issues that arise. All requests for functional development are taken into account and will be subsequently implemented in new updates.

    We plan to develop our portal even more. Fill it with the most useful and fascinating material. Work on improving and enhancing the training content. Connect all employees of the company to distance learning.
