We have been working on this major update to LMS Collaborator for a long time, listening to your wishes and observing trends in corporate training.

In the new version, we have brought together the most important tools for automating processes, improving content, and making the portal more user-friendly.

It’s time to share the results – meet LMS Collaborator v.3.0!

    1. Integration with AI

We understand how important it is today to save time on routine tasks. That is why deep integration with artificial intelligence tools has become a key feature of LMS Collaborator 3.0. You can connect the powerful AI models your company already works with, namely OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock, to the learning portal.

If you already have access to powerful AI solutions, you can use them to quickly search for information, create content, and automate routine tasks.

Let’s talk a little about each of the AI features:

    1. AI search

AI search finds materials in the Knowledge Base based on the meaning of the query, rather than an exact match of words. It understands context, so even if you don’t remember the name of the resource, the system will still find what you need.

    ai search

    2. AI-generated quizzes

AI creates test questions based on your resource pages and adaptive pages.

    How it works:

    – Select the material you want to use to create the quiz.
    – Set the types and number of questions.
    – AI generates questions and answer options.
    – If you wish, you can edit the questions or generate them again.

    quiz ai generation

Preparing quizzes takes minutes, and you retain control over quality.

    3. AI assistant in the editor

Your “content assistant” appears in the LMS Collaborator editor. AI helps:

    • create text blocks,
    • improve style,
    • shorten or simplify text,
    • generate text structure,
    • adapt content to different formats.

It’s very simple. Select the text, and an AI menu with commands will appear next to it.
The result opens in a separate pop-up window: you can view and edit it, and only then paste the text into the page.

    text ai generation

AI helps improve the quality of materials – making them structured, readable, and more professional without additional time expenditure.

    4. Generation of illustrations for content

You select a fragment of text (from 50 characters) in the editor, and artificial intelligence analyzes it and automatically generates keywords. Based on these queries, the system searches professional free image services and offers you options. All you have to do is choose the one you like best.

    image ai generation

This saves time searching for images and helps make pages visually appealing without the involvement of a designer.

We are not limited to the current list and are already planning integrations with other leading AI services so that you can choose the best solution for your business.

➡️We have provided more details about how AI integration works in LMS Collaborator in a separate article: AI in LMS Collaborator: test generation, smart search, and your personal editor

    2. Task creation wizard

We have combined the creation of training tasks into a single, logical process. With the help of the task creation wizard, you can go through all the necessary steps step by step on a single page: from the start of work on the content to its final assignment to employees.

    How does it work?

On the task creation page, you simply select the type of content you need—a course, resource, test, survey, etc.

    task creating

Next, a wizard window opens, consisting of four steps:

Step 1. Creation. You can create a task from scratch or quickly select an already published resource from the general list.

    task creating

Step 2. Settings. Here you can set all the important parameters at once: duration of training, number of attempts, time limits, bonuses for completion, and more.

Step 3. Assignments. Assign tasks to employees.

Step 4. Review the results. Go to reports and analytics to monitor the process.

Instead of constantly switching between different sections, administrators now have more control in one place. This saves a lot of time and makes the process of creating and launching training quick and intuitive.

    3. Updating the design of content tables

We constantly listen to your wishes and follow design trends. That is why in LMS Collaborator 3.0 we focused on updating the interface, making it even more modern and convenient.

All key tables where you work with content have been redesigned: tables with tasks, user assignments, and all pages for viewing content (surveys, resources, tests, courses, programs, etc.).

    resourses

The main advantage of the update is its convenience and consistency. The interface adapts to the screen size, maintaining convenience and functionality regardless of whether you are working on a computer or tablet.

As for filters, switches, and settings buttons, they all work according to the same logic, so you don’t have to get used to new rules in different sections.

The tables have become more structured. Instead of standard checkboxes, we have added convenient switches. We have also highlighted the filters so that it is easier for you to navigate and focus on key actions.

    4. Updates in working with quizzes

    4.1. Quick quiz creation

Thanks to the updated design, creating tests in LMS Collaborator has become even faster and more convenient. We have updated the page interface and combined all stages of work into a single space.

The entire test creation process takes place on one page, which significantly saves your time.

You do everything you need to do at once: create the test itself, add questions to it, write down the answer options, and immediately configure all the necessary test parameters. You don’t need to constantly switch between different tabs.

Spotted a mistake or need to make a quick change? Edit any element of the test right away, without unnecessary transitions.

    quiz creating

Convenient switching between test settings, work, and the question block allows you to control the entire process and see the test structure on one page. This saves time and makes creating tests intuitive—you can immediately see the results of your actions.

4.2. Flexible scoring for multiple-choice questions

We have expanded the scoring options for multiple-choice questions. Now you can choose how the system will award points, adapting the calculation to the objectives of a specific test question.

    Two evaluation logics are available:

    1. Calculation using the formula (Partial points) – allows assessing partial knowledge of the material.

If, for example, there are three correct answers to a question and an employee has selected only two, the system will award them partial points rather than zero. Points are awarded according to a special formula that takes into account the number of correct and incorrect answers selected.

For more details on how the calculation formula works, read here

    2. All or nothing – a classic approach where even one mistake means zero points.
If an employee has not selected all the correct answers or, conversely, has selected at least one incorrect answer, the result is unsatisfactory.

    quiz configuration

4.3. Hiding the correct answers in the test protocol.

Imagine that an employee has two attempts at the test. If they see all the correct answers on their first attempt, the second attempt will no longer be fair – they can simply use the hints.

To avoid this, we have added a new feature for the final test report. Now the administrator can hide which answers were correct in the report that the employee sees immediately after completing the test.

    quiz setting

This way, the employee’s attention is focused on mistakes. They understand what they need to learn, instead of just reviewing the correct answers.

    5. New design of the “Policies” page

The Policies page in LMS Collaborator also has a new modern design, which makes configuring the system even more enjoyable.

We have gathered all policy settings on one page, added convenient switches, and a smart side menu. No need to switch between different sections – just click on the desired item in the menu, and the system will automatically scroll the page to the corresponding section.

    policies

    6. Improvements to the Knowledge Base search

In LMS Collaborator, you can build your corporate electronic library by accumulating important information about training and work. All material that you upload to the portal is automatically added to the Knowledge Base. This can include various types of resources: videos, PDF files, documents, news published on the portal, pages, etc.

Now it is even easier to find the material you need. The Knowledge Base search works not only by full word, but also by part of a word. Just enter a fragment of the title or keyword, and the system will select the relevant results.

    7. Displaying the learning path description on the visualization page

Learning paths in LMS Collaborator are customized development routes for specific positions or roles. They can include both linear sequences of tasks and branching scenarios where the further learning path depends on the employee’s results.

Read more about the learning paths here

When creating a trajectory, the administrator can add a description of it. For example, briefly explain the goal, expected results, who it is created for, or what to pay attention to during the course.

This description is now displayed on the trajectory visualization page in the “My learning paths” section. This allows employees to immediately see key information, better understand the context, and move more confidently along their development path.

    8. Career development requests – Selecting tasks for internal learning activities

LMS Collaborator helps not only with corporate learning, but also with employee career development.

Using the Career development requests tool, managers create a list of positions with the requirements for obtaining them, and employees submit requests for professional development and new positions.

When an employee fills out an application, they can indicate which courses or events they need to master the competencies required for the position. Now, in the internal training events section, they can select specific tasks that have already been published in the system.

    request of carrer development

Only tasks that meet three conditions are included in the selection list:

    • can be used in personal plans;
    • are published in the Catalog;
    • are current (their completion date has not yet passed).

When the manager approves the request, the administrator can quickly add these tasks to the employee’s individual development plan. This can be done directly in the request by clicking on the appropriate button:

    internal training event

    9. Set a completion threshold for elements in the course plan and program structure

Programs and courses in LMS Collaborator consist of a set of learning tasks, resources, and tests that together form a plan. For each element of the plan, you can set a pass threshold – the percentage of completion that the user must achieve for the element to be considered complete.

Now the threshold is displayed and configured directly in the plan structure, under the name of the corresponding element. You can immediately see for which elements the threshold has already been set and for which it still needs to be added. This greatly simplifies working with the plan: all the necessary settings are right in front of you, just select the element and immediately specify the desired percentage of completion.

    course plan

    10. Gift shop – Send bonuses to colleagues

The LMS Collaborator Gift shop helps to further motivate employees to learn by creating an exciting atmosphere of gamification.

For completing tasks, employees receive bonuses that they can accumulate and exchange for gifts from the store that interest them: various accessories, corporate merchandise, books, electronics, certificates, etc.

Read more about the work of the Gift shop here.

Employees can also give bonuses to colleagues, creating a culture of mutual support and recognition.

    How does it work?

In the bonus settings section, the administrator determines:

    • The number of bonuses to be awarded to all users – the limit that each user can distribute among colleagues (for example, 100 bonuses).
    • The bonus validity period – the time interval during which the limit is valid (for example, 10 days or a month).

    setting bonuses

After that, the employee selects a colleague in the “Contacts” section and specifies the number of bonuses he wants to send to him.

    contacts

Gift bonuses are a separate category that does not depend on the user’s personal bonuses. When an employee gives bonuses to someone, they are immediately added to the recipient’s personal account. Colleagues receive gifted bonuses and can exchange them for gifts in the store. At the end of a specified period, the number of gift bonuses is automatically renewed to the set limit.

This transforms corporate learning from an individual task into a team effort, where everyone can recognize each other’s contributions and work together toward common goals.

    11. Adding levels to position profiles

In LMS Collaborator, you can maintain a corporate competency library, which you can use to create employee job profiles and organize competency assessments.

In many teams, the same job title can have different levels of experience. Formally, it is one Sales Manager, but in practice, there are completely different specialists: Junior, Middle, Senior. Each of them has their own set of competencies, indicators, and areas of responsibility.

To avoid creating several separate profiles, in LMS Collaborator you can enable levels directly in a single job profile. You configure competencies for Junior, Middle, and Senior within a single structure – clearly, logically, and without duplication.

    job profile

For example, for the “Sales Manager” profile, it might work like this: Junior masters basic communication, Middle confidently handles objections and conducts negotiations, Senior conducts strategic deals and works with key clients. All these competencies are combined in one profile, but clearly structured by level.

This is also handy when assessing competencies. You run one assessment for the whole position, and LMS Collaborator automatically shows the employee only the indicators that match their level. So, if a Middle is being assessed, they see their own set of questions – nothing extra.

As a result, the administrator works with one profile instead of several, and employees receive an assessment that accurately matches their professional level.

    12. Updates in the competency assessment report

When you evaluate employee competencies, it is important not only to give a score, but also to justify the assessment. To do this, the administrator can enable comments on assessment criteria in LMS Collaborator. They can also configure the conditions under which the comment field will appear – when the assessment is below the norm, exceeds the norm, or corresponds to a certain value.

Now, after completing the assessment, the user and manager can immediately view these comments in the report. The report now also displays the average rating for each competency, broken down by role: self-assessment, peer assessment, manager assessment, etc.

    competency assessment protocol

The manager immediately sees an objective and complete picture of how different people evaluate the employee. This makes the evaluation process transparent, saves time on data compilation, and provides a basis for planning further development.
